HAMTRAMCK, Mich. — Sterling Services Ltd sponsored the Hamtramck Clean Sweep community program for the third consecutive year. For the past three springs, Sterling has supplied the volunteers with food, water, rakes, and shovels. This year’s Clean Sweep was Saturday, May 17th.

“Clean Sweep is a great program that helps clean the winter off Hamtramck,” General Manager of Sterling Services Terry Rosenfeld explains. “We take over a bunch of rakes and shovels and as a community we clean our streets.”

Sterling employee Brian Petty delivered the supplies early Saturday morning at two locations on Joseph Campau Street: The community center south of Holbrook Street and the center north of Caniff Street.

“It’s great that Sterling has volunteered supplies once again, Jason [Eddleston] is always willing to lend a hand,” said one local volunteer entering the community center off Joseph Campau.

Sterling Services is involved in numerous community programs with the Clean Sweep being one of many that helps the residents of Hamtramck.
