ROYAL OAK, Mich. – The Royal Chamber of Commerce, a non-profit that has been largely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, returned to their After Hours networking events on Tuesday, May 19. The networking event was their first Virtual After Hours – Speed Bingo event since the stay-at-home order was enacted. Sterling Oil sponsored one of the bingo squares as over thirty members joined the virtual bingo event with money being raised for Gilda’s Club Metro Detroit. The winners of the bingo games also won prizes for their efforts including a chamber membership to a new member.

As they move forward, the Chamber will continue to engage their members with future virtual after-hours until the governor allows for events like these to be done in person. Other networking groups, similar to the Chamber, around the country are going to need to adapt to the new times and explore ways to engage with their memberships. The virtual after-hours speed bingo fundraiser is just one example of how it can be done. It was a fun and positive experience, leaving people excited for the next virtual event.

Sterling Oil remains committed to helping out local community organizations such as the chamber at this difficult time.
