ROYAL OAK, Mich. – The Royal Oak Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Mini Golf Tournament and Helicopter Golf Ball Drop on Thrusday, October 3. The event starts at 5 p.m. at the Royal Oak Golf Center in Royal Oak, Mich. to help fund the Royal Oak Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Fund.

This inaugural event features a mini-golf tournament – two players per team – as well as two slices of pizza and unlimited fountain drinks. They also designated a few driving range bays, clubs provided, if you wanted to hit practice balls. The event’s highlight is the Helicopter Golf Ball Drop for $2,000 dollars – closest ball to the pin wins. The top three team in the tournament will win non-cash prizes.

“Our mission at the Greater Royal Oak Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to bringing business persons, civic groups, local government and citizens together to advance the economic, professional, cultural and civic welfare of the community,” the Chamber states on their website. “We feel that part of our commitment to the community is to help it’s high school students achieve their higher education goals.”
