HAMTRAMCK, Mich. – Sterling Services LTD., went in front of the Hamtramck City Council on Tuesday, October 22 to seek approval for the expansion of their facility on Commor Street in Hamtramck, Mich. City Council unanimously approved the plan that the Hamtramck Planning Commission had approved weeks prior.
The site expansion for Sterling Services includes 16 new tanks, a loading pad, and 1-2 new jobs at the facility. On October 2, 2019, Jason Eddleston, VP of Operations at Sterling Services went before the Department of Community and Economic Development Regular Planning Commission Meeting to present their site plan. At that meeting, the planning commission approved it, giving Eddleston an opportunity to present it to the city council.
The Hamtramck City Council voted to approve the site plan and expansion on Tuesday, October 22. Once Eddleston presented the plan, the council unanimously voted in favor of the expansion plan.
